Following graduation, Dan began his employment with Castellini Company with a 6 month training program where he gained knowledge in all facets of the industry, including: sales, procurement, IT, operations, customer service, and growing operations. He then moved into his current sales role where he works with a number of foodservice and retail accounts and handles sales for all commodities the company offers.

In 2007 Dan took on procurement responsibilities for the mushroom category. He is now also responsible for purchasing avocados, as well as co-managing the red and yellow potato programs for the company.
