After graduation, David started his career at Food Source, Inc. where he was a sales associate for one year. He was responsible for maintaining outstanding customer service as per company standards, generating sales, merchandising, and safeguarding company assets. After completing his Master's Degree, David continued his career in the fresh produce industry with a 5 month internship at the California Strawberry Commission. As a research intern, David researched, collected, and evaluated data to better understand the Chinese strawberry industry.

After his research was complete, he presented his finding to the Board of Directors at the California Strawberry Commission. While presenting to the Board of Directors for the CSC, David made connections at Driscolls Strawberry Associates and was offered a position in their Marketing Department in 2005. Currently, David works for Driscoll Strawberry Associates, Inc. as a senior financial analyst. David is currently responsible for analyzing and reporting actual operating performance against budget forecast and trends, budgeting and strategic planning, and assisting in the capital budgeting. He is also responsible for the capital expenditure request process, providing financial and analytical support, and coordinating the monthly forecasting process. Additionally, David is responsible for producing the deal profit and loss statement through financially modeling of the berry products, by fruit and by region.
